Making a Game
Introduction
So this topic is right up my alley, I've been programming for some years now and my very first coding experience was coding games.
At this stage, I'm working in the Game Dev field as n Game Developer Generalist making web games for Emerge Gaming. Doing the Game Design, Game Concepting, Game Art, Game Programming, some Sound Design, and all the extras that go with Game Development.
I don't claim to be a pro in any one of these subjects. But I do claim to be quite the pro when using all these skills combined to make a fun interactive experience!

Let Your Creativity Be Your Guide
In the world of game development, there are a lot of knockoffs. if you go search for Minecraft of any game store you can be sure to find tons of shitty knockoff versions that are only made by developers for one reason...
To make money.
If this is your only goal. Let me be blunt and say this is not the post you want to read.
In my opinion, the money is a huge bonus. The only reason I want to make money is to be able to continue making meaningful experiences! and if this isn't perspective on the subject I truly believe you are looking to work in the wrong field.
The power of having an Idea and being able to make that Idea become a reality on a screen is an insane idea in its own! Games are executable files filled with creativity, emence time and effort. A game developer that doesn't enjoy the games that they make isn't a game developer.
